April has come and gone, and soon we will have a new baby in our arms! Some of the most important things that happened this month:
- My dad finally was released from the hospital! He is slowly regaining his weight and strength at home. Praise God that he can now be in the comfort of his own home to heal.
- My Father-in-Law, on the other hand, continues to be in and out of the hospital. Doctors were hoping that he would be approved for a heart/kidney transplant but in the end, he is too high risk for the surgery. So the only option may be dialysis permanently. Don't see this as dark times though, through all of this he continues to pray excessively for those around him and shares Jesus with everyone he comes in contact with. God still has plans for him.
- I quit working in the middle of April to be at home with my little man and it has been such a blessing! Spending so much time with him makes me miss all of the time that we lost because I decided to go back to work. Over all, I am so glad I have been able to spend the last few weeks before our new little one arrives. Carson has quite the personality! He knows where his nose is and even where ours are. My new favorite thing is he says, "Amen" after we pray before meals. He's a little walking machine and I think he will be running soon.
- At the end of the month, I celebrated my 26th birthday! Travis took me to Grimaldi's for dinner. He bought me a beautiful new necklace and earrings set. We didn't do anything else since I am so close to my due date, I didn't want to risk anything.
