New Friends...

We are truly beginning our journey here in Houston...we are attending a church regularly and branching out and meeting new people.

As I sat in church yesterday the pastor asked, "Which seed are you?" referring to Jesus' parable in Mark 4. As a believer in Jesus Christ I wonder which path I am falling into and I know, and I also know what steps I need to take in order to lead the life that gives glory to Him. But it's so hard Lord...can't You make it a little easier? Then I remember, I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me...I just have to keep repeating it to myself. Baby steps for now...

We also had dinner with one of Travis' coworkers and his wife. What a lovely couple! They have a two and a half year old girl who was as cute as can be (She got mad at us when we left and refused to say goodbye). They made homemade fajitas and we talked about everything. I can't help but miss all of our friends in Flagstaff and the good times we had. On our drive home I remind Travis to not lose touch with his coworker, since they will be working at two different branches once their training is over. I am excited to finally be meeting new people outside of the family here and am looking forward to all of it.

Just a quick update on other areas of our life: Travis will officially be done with training in a week and a half. He will finally be working in Conroe doing what he was hired for. I attended a sub training last week and have a few more things to take care of before I can officially sub. Fortunately, I have a few more weeks until school starts. I don't anticipate any teachers needing subs until at least the beginning of September. In the meantime, I am still applying and looking for any full time positions.
