Carson is getting a....

BABY SISTER!!!

I have multiple friends who when they announced the sex of thier baby did it with a gender reveal party. I love this idea and because I found out about this party idea after we found out that Carson was a boy, I had to wait for the next one. So the instant I found out I was pregnant again, I started planning! Just kidding, I didn't but I knew that I wanted to throw a gender reveal party.

Now I have some friends that found out at the party with everyone else and some that knew before everyone else. I wanted to wait until the day of the party to find out what we were having but the night before our ultrasound, I decided that I couldn't wait. So Travis and I went in to our appointment, me wanting a girl and him wanting a boy. Travis had to ask the ultrasound tech to check again to make sure he was hearing right. I was so excited hearing the result of "It's a girl!"

On to the party itself...attendees came dressed in their color of choice, pink or blue, to indicate what they wanted. We had many that cheated and dressed in both pink and blue, or dressed neutral. Travis and I were in neutral colors. Here are some photos from the party.

My sister-in-law made a baby cheese ball for the party, it was yummy!

These are the bags that held the pink candies. Everyone opened one of these to find out. I did it this way for many reasons, cupcakes from a bakery were too expensive, I don't bake very well, and it was something I could do myself without breaking the bank or taking up a ton of time.

It was a nice, warm Janurary day, so my nephews played in the water outside.

Some of the people who voted for girl.

Some who voted for boy.

I should have turned on the video setting for my camera to record because everyone's reaction to the pink was priceless. Travis counted to three and when everyone saw the color there was a cheer of excitement!

I am so glad our friends and family were with us!

I am so excited for Carson to be a big brother!
